Philip Newman serves as president and managing director of Newman Executive Search. His professional experience has included functional recruitment and regional management roles for multinational public and privately held executive search and staffing firms ranging from $55M to $5B in size.
Prior to founding Newman Executive Search, Philip led a national search practice focused on the medical device industry for the Lucas Group, a $55M privately held global executive search firm. He was also previously named the youngest division manager in company history for The Hudson Highland Group, a $1B publicly traded global talent management and recruitment services firm. His early career included recruiting and business development positions with Aerotek, the largest privately held recruiting firm in the United States.
Nationally known across the medical device industry as “The Med Device Headhunter”, Philip has amassed a portfolio that consists of dozens of testimonials and achievements for his work with venture-backed, development stage, and high-growth publicly held companies across multiple industry and markets.
Philip earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee where he was an SEC award winning scholar athlete and varsity lettermen for the football team playing under Coach Phillip Fulmer.
